GentleGateAI works for children ages 5 and up. We have three age-specific presets: Little Learners (5–8), Explorers (9–12), and Teens (13+). Each preset adjusts vocabulary, complexity, and content filtering appropriately.

Our emotion detection model identifies seven emotion categories — curiosity, joy, excitement, frustration, anxiety, sadness, and calm — from the language patterns in your child's messages. The model was trained on child-specific language datasets and benchmarks at high accuracy on our evaluation suite. Like any ML model, it works best as a trend indicator over time rather than a verdict on any single message. We display confidence levels in the dashboard so you always know how to interpret the signals.
